LOOP PACK 01
The The OpenAI Deployment Company FDE loop, prepped like you already have the interview
OpenAI launched its deployment subsidiary, DeployCo, in May 2026 and seeded it by acquiring Tomoro, an applied-AI consultancy reported at roughly 150 deployment engineers. Its board lists 15 live requisitions and its interview process is weeks old. Prep content exists for OpenAI's parent-company FDE loop; none exists for DeployCo's own, because DeployCo is a separate subsidiary with its own hiring board and an unpublished process. That gap is the edge.
The dossier below is public and stays public. You are paying for the simulation and the grading:
- One timed 60-minute simulation of this loop, AI tools allowed, link within 24 hours of purchase.
- A graded written review within 24 hours of submitting, checked by a human before it ships: what an interviewer pushes back on, what to drill before the real thing.
- A 60-day double refund guarantee: wrong VERIFIED claim, or unhappy with your review for any reason.
- The full $249 credited toward A10X membership if you join later.
For engineers with production software experience who are interviewing or about to apply. The sim assumes you can build; it tests judgment, not syntax. A10X members pay $149: reply to any member email for your link.
What we know about the loop, tagged by how we know it
- The official name is The OpenAI Deployment Company, self-shortened to DeployCo. It describes itself as "the deployment arm of OpenAI" and "a subsidiary of OpenAI and funded with a partnership of outside investors". Read on its own site and every job description on its hiring board.
- Hiring runs on Ashby: 15 live requisitions as of 2026-08-14. Forward Deployed Engineer roles in New York, London, Paris, Singapore and Sydney; AI Deployment Strategist roles in New York, London, Singapore and Melbourne; plus IT, revenue operations, finance, legal and people leads.
- The US Forward Deployed Engineer role: New York, hybrid 3 days a week in office, up to 50% travel, $170,000 to $400,000 plus equity. Requires 4+ years of engineering or technical delivery, production-grade code across frontend and backend in JavaScript or Python, and 0-to-1 reusable-capability building. The posting describes "player-coach" expectations with a fast ramp to management.
- Non-US FDE comp, published on the board: London £90K to £150K, Paris €115K to €200K, Singapore SGD 145K to 350K, Sydney A$135K to 360K, all plus equity.
- The companion delivery role is AI Deployment Strategist ($170K to $400K plus equity in New York): leads day-to-day technical delivery, coordinates FDEs, researchers and customer engineers, owns value cases, KPIs, adoption tracking and change management. 5+ years of customer-facing technical delivery required.
- Northslope is NOT another name for this org. It is a separate Palantir-rooted applied-AI firm that DeployCo agreed to acquire on 2026-07-08, its second acquisition after Tomoro. Announced on DeployCo's own site.
- Tomoro's old site, tomoro.ai, now redirects permanently to deploy.co.
- DeployCo describes its delivery motion as: FDEs "work directly with customers to solve a specific problem, validate impact, and then identify patterns that can scale", "build from first principles", and "deliver early value, then iterate toward scale".
- It showcases two flagship engagements: BBVA scaling ChatGPT Enterprise to 120,000 employees across 25 countries, and John Deere.
- Launch coverage reports more than $4B of initial capital from 19 investors led by TPG, with Advent, Bain Capital and Brookfield co-leading, plus consultancies Bain & Company, Capgemini and McKinsey among the partners. OpenAI holds majority ownership and control.
- Tomoro brought roughly 150 Forward Deployed Engineers and Deployment Specialists, and its alumni are the delivery seed team. Its clients included Tesco, Virgin Atlantic, Supercell (an in-game support agent serving 110M players), Fidelity International, Red Bull, Mattel and the NBA.
What nobody outside can know yet
- No candidate has published an interview report for DeployCo itself yet, anywhere we could find (Blind, Reddit, HN, searched 2026-08-14). OpenAI's parent-company FDE loop is documented publicly by third parties, but whether DeployCo inherits any of it is unknown: separate subsidiary, separate board, unpublished process. The simulation therefore trains the judgment its postings describe, not a memorized stage list.
- No pod size or engagement length is published. The equity component of comp is unstated.
Live requisitions this pack preps you for
- Forward Deployed Engineer - US · New York, hybrid · $170K-$400K + equity
- Forward Deployed Engineer - EU · Paris · €115K-€200K + equity
- AI Deployment Strategist - US · New York · $170K-$400K + equity
The simulation
A 60-minute timed work-sample built from DeployCo's own published delivery frame. You get an enterprise customer scenario shaped like its flagship engagements: pick the priority workflow, scope the first deployment, design how you would build, evaluate and ship a production system connecting OpenAI models to the customer's data, tools and controls, and defend where the boundaries sit. Graded against a hidden rubric built from what its own postings say the role tests: technical discovery, solution architecture, evals, and the judgment to deliver early value that scales.
You get the graded review with written feedback in under 24 hours: what an interviewer would push back on, which calls you got right, and what to drill before the real thing. AI tools are allowed during the sim, the same way modern loops allow them. We grade how you direct the work, not whether you typed every character.
Every review is graded against the hidden rubric and then checked by a human before it ships: Armando Gonzalez, who has spent two years building agent systems in production and has sat both sides of FDE interviews.
The guarantee
Two ways to a full refund, both inside 60 days of purchase. One: any claim tagged VERIFIED above turns out to be wrong when you meet the real process. Two: you are unhappy with your graded review, for any reason. Email hello@a10x.dev and it is done, no questions. We sell what we verified and we tag what we could not.
